The purpose of the St. Mark Flower Committee is to beautify the church with flowers on special holidays and feast days. This enhances the beauty of the church, making it look much more appealing and inviting to tourists and those regular visitors. Volunteers meet at designated times in the church. Both men and women interested in helping to adorn the church are welcome. If you enjoy working with flowers (both silk and live) and have a creative flair, please consider volunteering for this effort by contacting Shirley Dean.

St. Mark Candle Committee

The purpose of the St. Mark Candle Committee is to beautify the church with candles on special holidays and feast days. Volunteers typically meet following service completion and prior to holidays. Duties include regular changing of used votive candles as well as periodic changing of the glass votive holders to colors based on the feast day. Anyone interested in helping to adorn the church in this manner is welcome to by contacting Matushka Sasha. Whilst helpers are obviously an essential part of making the church look beautiful, it’s also important to remember that these decorations do cost money. That’s why the church is always welcome to generous donations. We welcome visitors to the church with these donations, or people can even text in church donations if they can’t make it in to look at these gorgeous decorations. The church is always in need of support, whether that’s financial donations or by volunteering to help around the site. That’s the only way we can keep the church looking professional and clean. With the help of the public, the church can continue to thrive as one of the best monuments in the area.
